Dr. Moses Banda is a former Economic Advisor to the late President Levy Patrick Mwanawasa. Prior to this, he served as Permanent Secretary at the Ministry of Commerce, Trade and Industry.

He was the Founder and Chief Executive Officer of Moses Banda & Co, Chief Economist at Zambia National Commercial Bank, and Lecturer and Research Fellow at the University of Zambia. He is a Non-Executive Director of Kalahari GeoEnergy, a geothermal exploration and development company, and Bekazulu Limestone Co.

Dr. Banda has undertaken a number of economic assignments for the World Bank and the United Nations Development Programme, as well as country and corporate due diligence assessments for a number of foreign direct investors.

He holds a BA degree in Public Administration and Economics from the University of Zambia and a PhD in Development Economics from the University of Edinburgh.
