Manuel Mutale is a multi-skilled professional and Board Member of Konkola Copper Mines Plc, with over 22 years of experience spanning executive leadership, finance, audit, utilities and standards. He most recently served as Executive Director of the Zambia Bureau of Standards (ZABS) and previously served for eight years as Managing Director of Mulonga Water and Sewerage Company Limited, Zambia’s second-largest commercial water utility company.

His career progressed from Shift Manager at TAP Building Products and Audit Senior at KPMG Chartered Accountants to Finance Manager and subsequently Managing Director at Mulonga Water. He also served concurrently as Executive Director of ZABS and Interim Managing Director of Lusaka Water and Sewerage Company Limited from June to October 2016, before serving as Interim Managing Director of ZAFFICO for six months.

Mr. Mutale is a Fellow of the Association of Chartered Certified Accountants (FCCA UK) and the Zambia Institute of Chartered Accountants (FZICA), and a Member of the Institute of Directors – Zambia. He holds a BSc in Chemistry from the University of Zambia and an MBA from Edinburgh Business School. His other board and advisory experience includes SADCAS, Ndola Lime Company Limited, the Zambia Weights and Measures Agency, Lusaka Water and Sewerage Company Ltd, BlueGreen Solutions Limited, ZEMA and NWASCO. He has also undertaken professional training in strategic business management, quality infrastructure, ISO standards, training of trainers and computer applications.
